How to Apply
Here's the step-by-step guide to applying to Sol Plaatje University
1. Visit the SPU applications page to start your application.
2. Click on the icon next to Apply, register, change personal information, get academic and other information.
3. Complete your personal information and click Save.
4. Create your PIN.
5. The system generates a reference number, which will become your student number once your biographical data is saved.
6. You have now accessed the Student Online System.
7. Click on Application, then 'View Application Rules.
8. Read the Academic Applications rules and click on I Accept.
9. Click on Schools Attended, then search for your Senior Secondary School in the list of values.
10. Click on the correct school.
11. Capture the start year and month, then the end year and month, and click SAVE. If you make a mistake, use the Delete button and then click SAVE.
12. Click on Enter School Leaving Subjects.
13. Choose the correct subjects from the list of values and click SAVE.
14. Click on Certificates seen.
15. Select ID, upload the scanned document, and click SAVE.
16. Click on Disabilities to disclose if applicable and click SAVE.
17. Click on 'Submit Application.'
18. After selecting the qualification, complete the following: Set Academic Preference to 1 (Choice 1) and click SAVE and Continue.
19. Click on View Completed Application to view the qualification(s) you have applied for.
20. Click on Personal Contact Detail.
21. Update your cell number(s), email address, Next of Kin Cell Number, etc. online.
22. Click on CELL NUMBER, input or override it with your new cell number, and click SAVE.
23. Update your EMAIL Address in the same way.
24. Click on Address Validation.
25. Use the list of values to link your Next of Kin or Account address.
26. Click SAVE after creating new addresses.
27. Your application is now complete.
